The direction of travel
Today, I attended the Snowflake Summit Encore in Amsterdam. What struck me most wasn't a specific feature, but rather the direction of travel in enterprise software.
For years, the focus has been on:
- dashboards
- configuration
- SQL
- menus
- workflows
Now, the conversation is shifting to:
- context
- memory
- skills
- agents
- outcomes
Snowflake is building an AI workspace for enterprise data
AI is no longer just an assistant bolted onto the product; it's becoming the product itself. One slide particularly resonated with me: "Bring your context → AI workspace → Get work done." This is exactly where enterprise software is heading.
Different starting points, same trend
As the founder of HEA-World, I found it interesting to see how closely this aligns with our own thinking, albeit from a different starting point. Snowflake is building an AI workspace for enterprise data teams, while at HEA-World, we're developing Human-Enhanced Agents that assist brands and organizations in engaging customers, answering questions, nurturing relationships, creating content, improving SEO/AEO, managing customer care, and executing governed actions across channels.
Different audiences, yet the same fundamental trend.
The interface itself is changing
Today, most enterprise applications are still dashboards. Tomorrow, they'll evolve into conversations that orchestrate dashboards. Eventually, we'll stop opening software and start collaborating with AI teammates that understand our organization, our customers, and our goals.
The future isn't just AI inside software; it's software becoming an AI coworker.
Thanks again to the Snowflake team for a great event and the inspiration.
HEA-World through this lens
I couldn't resist imagining what this concept might look like through the lens of HEA-World. Here's a quick mock-up inspired by today's sessions:
